Hi,

I have written many articles on the internet before, but this is the very first time I have posted a blog, at least with a blog creating software - call me old fashioned, if you will.

I wouldn't say I am a great writer, but because I feel I have an honest message to convey, I try my best. It is up to my intended readers to decide whether or not my messages deserve their attention.

My objective is to write about how to make money on the internet, which is something that interests me tremendously, particularly as I often get paid. However, since this blog is being posted using Qumana software, it is only fair that I write about blogging and about the ease in which Qumana helps one to do so. Nevertheless, so as not to stray too far from my objective, I would like to touch breifly upon how blogging and Qumana software can help one to earn also.

Blogging for the Beginner - What is a Blog?

Since you are already here and have accessed my blog, you probably already know what a blog is. A web definition decribes a blog as short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site.

How are they different from Websites?

Blogs are interactive and allow reader feedback and since blogs are constantly updated they enrich the internet and this is why they are favoured by search engines. You can get listed in the search engines far quicker with a blog than with a website.

Who should Blog?

Anyone with a message to convey should blog. You can write about anything - your interests, hobbies, specialities etc.

Please do not use a blog for illegal purposes or to encourage hatred or terrorism - that's all.

But a blog can do much more. Anyone with a website should blog. A blog is essentially a tool which allows website owners to be more open to their visitors. It enables them to convey the messages within their site and since there is an opportunity for feedback, it creates the intimacy that website owners desire with their visitors and thus makes sales much easier.

How to Blog

Blogging is about the simplest thing you can do. All you need to do is sign up with some blog hosts and simply post your blogs to them. A blogging software allows you to post your blogs and feedback to comments directly from your desktop.

Blogging Software - Using Qumana

I cannot claim to be an export on software. However, I spent about 5 minutes watching the Qumana demo and the result was this blog. I didn't even plan to write this article.

I am quite sure that you will probably have seen many better and more professional blogs than this one, but if you consider that this is my very first blog and that I didn't even plan to write this article, then perhaps you might consider that it isn't too bad and that if I can do it, then you can do it too.

Earning from Blogs

We have seen that blogs help to spread the message within websites and that it opens the website owner to their visitors and by enabling feedback it creates the intimacy between the website owner and visitors. Thus it is reasonable to assume that it increases the potential for sales.

The Qumana software doubles the chances of earning because you can add contextual ads just like adsense. You can also add banners, hyperlinks and tags which will direct the blog reader to another site that pays.

I have not added any any hyperlinks, tags or banners, because it is my objective to direct you elsewhere, at least not from this article and you might note that adgenta does not have an affiliate program so you are getting the software and advice with no incentive for me - take it or leave it.
